Mission and principles
SMAI Sentinel is an independent Israeli online safety initiative. Its mission is to help children, teenagers, parents and community members understand digital risks, preserve useful evidence and find the appropriate reporting or support channel.
Safety first
Guidance prioritises immediate safety, calm decision-making and contact with local emergency services when someone faces imminent danger.
Privacy by design
People should share only information that is necessary for a report. The founder's personal identity and age are intentionally not public.
Evidence, not exposure
Useful documentation can include dates, usernames, links and original screenshots. Sensitive material should not be republished publicly.
Responsible escalation
Serious cases may require the platform's official safety channel, a trusted adult, a qualified professional or law enforcement.
What SMAI Sentinel does
- Publishes information about online harassment, scams, impersonation and compromised accounts.
- Provides tools for submitting and following reports.
- Supports safer community conversations and practical next steps.
- Explains the limits of the service clearly.
SMAI Sentinel is not SiMa.ai Sentinel, Microsoft Sentinel, a government agency, police unit, emergency service or registered nonprofit.
